ABOUT
Eglė Razumaitė is a writer and director born in Vilnius in 1993, currently living and working between Vilnius and Berlin. She graduated from Vilnius University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and holds a master’s degree in film directing from the National Film School of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. In 2017, she participated in an alternative art education program at Rupert Art Center and was actively involved in the Lithuanian contemporary art scene before fully turning to filmmaking.
Since 2017, Eglė has been working at the Lithuanian Culture Research Institute, Department of Sacral Art Heritage. In 2019, together with a collective, she founded the analog moving image lab SPONGĖ. Her short film The Fall won the Lithuanian Association of Cinematographers’ Best Young Cinematographer’s Work Prize in 2022 and was nominated for the Lithuanian National Film Award in 2023. Her short film OOTID was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the Festival de Cannes in 2024. Eglė was one of the six participants in the 48th session of La Résidence du Festival de Cannes.
